I wish I were the sea

A stone, sand or the beach.

I wish I could just roll

In its vast vicinity.

I wish I could rise to the call of the wind,

And dance to its soft hum.

I wish I could play with the fish, the birds and the turtles,

As I seek company.

I wish I were the sea for its serenity.

As its beauty overwhelms me.

I wish I were the sea

Because of its presence.

To be in many places at the same time.
