Losing weight

It's been a while since I wrote something over here, but I decided I need to write and clear some stuff that have been going on lately. 

Lately, a lot of my friends have been asking me about losing weight. This, I guess, is because I have lost a bit of weight over the last couple of months. So what, you may ask. People lose and gain weight all the time ya? But what worries me about the questions that have been directed at me are the reasoning behind them wanting to lose weight and the reason they have assumed I have. 


So here I am, writing to clarify my reasoning behind doing so. 


Losing weight, is without a doubt a good thing. But I feel one should go about it for the right reasons and in a proper manner, without following ad hoc methods and diet programmes.  


It is important that it is understood that the only reason I decided to lose some weight was because I figured it's important to be healthy. I wanted to be fit. If losing some weight has to occur for me to reach that goal, so be it. But I didn't at any point stop eating or go to extremes of any sort. For me it's about being healthy. I hope I have it right. 

So exercise a lot, eat healthy. Just don't go to extremes and die trying to lose weight because you feel society thinks it's best. It's very important that you do it for yourself, because you want do so and more importantly, because you want to feel good. :)
